This style provides the traditional sash and case look, with two different glass planes between the upper and lower sashes, and modern high performance hinge systems and gaskets, to guarantee the excellent operation so desirable in a new window system. The top sash of the window opens outwards, with the bottom pane fixed. The upper sash can, if required, include ogee or bevel shaped horns hand crafted to the bottom corners to replicate original detail.
Material: Our stepped casement windows are available in hardwood, redwood or pitch pine, hand selected by our skilled craftsmen. And to ensure a quality finish a hardwood sill is fitted as standard. Ironmongery: Two brass cockspur handles are fitted to this window, one with a lock, and both with two point keepers.
The handles can lock in either the fully closed position or the vent position. A controllable permavent
is fitted to the top of the window sash, to ensure regular ventilation
even when the window is closed. Dependant
on the finish of the window the permavents are available in a white, brown
or brass finish. To find out more contact us.
