Sash and Case Window Specification

Manufactured in a traditional manner using traditional joints, the sash and case window is designed to accommodate double glazed units. The sashes are grooved and fitted with gaskets, to minimize both draughts and the transfer of sound, ensuring that customers will not be disappointed with this top quality product.

   

The upper sash can, if required, include ogee or bevel shaped horns hand crafted to the bottom corners to replicate original detail.

Material:

Our sash and case windows are available in hardwood, redwood or pitch pine, hand selected by our skilled craftsmen. And to ensure a quality finish a hardwood sill is fitted as standard.

 

Ironmongery:

This high quality window is fitted with brass sash ring lifts, fasteners and weight pulleys as standard, guaranteeing easy operation and high standards throughout.

A brass sash eye can be fitted to the upper sashes, to hold the hooked pole (not included) and to allow easy and safe sliding operation of the upper sash.

Brass easy clean ironmongery is fitted to upstairs windows, to maintain the high standard of the window quality while keeping it practical and easy to use. Lead weights can either be fitted to windows during installation, or supplied loose for fitting at installation, depending on customer preference.

   

A controllable permavent is fitted to the top of the window sash, to ensure regular ventilation even when the window is closed. Dependant on the finish of the window the permavents are available in a white, brown or brass finish.
